About Everest Youth Hockey
The Everest Youth Hockey Association is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 established in 1996 to provide boys
and girls the opportunity to play hockey all while learning life skills about teamwork, sportsmanship,
and personal discipline.
Many who don’t know or understand the sport of hockey may have heard that the sport is “too
dangerous,” “too expensive,” requires “too much travel” and “too much time”.
All sports have an element of inherent risk as far as personal injury is concerned. Ice hockey ranks 4th
for injuries in the age group of 7-17, trailing football, soccer and snowboarding. Not only do our
coaches teach children hockey skills, but a great deal of emphasis is put on the prevention of injuries
while on the ice through USA Hockey’s Safety Programs including Heads Up Hockey.
Youth hockey encourages families to spend time together; it allows parents and kids the chance to get
to know other families better, all while fostering relationships, friendships and memories that can last a
lifetime.
Your support with this Hot Car Cool Ice raffle helps us to reduce the cost of youth hockey, allowing as
many kids to have the opportunities the sport provides.
